Established in 1986 and built to please the connoisseur golfer, The Golf Mission is rolling into its 40th Season as the premier Golf League (Amateur Tour) in N.J. In August of 2023 we hosted our 1000th golf tournament!  What makes this league so unique is the intensity of its organization, the duration of its development, the quality of its venues, and most importantly the hardcore golfing enthusiasts that it attracts. If you are seeking competition to challenge your game, refined tastes, would enjoy reserved tee times at top-shelf-public-golf clubs, and meeting new golfers this is your ticket. Without question the best thing you derive from the Golf Mission are the relationships you will make.

 

Competition is handicapped, and the league is comprised of avid amateur golfers with a wide range of ability levels, and players are grouped into teams of their choice. You can simply choose to play as an Independent, or we recommend that singles joining become Free Agent Rookies that are drafted by established teams. The team aspect of the league never prevents members from playing. Most teams consist of 8 to 15 players, and if you join with less than this, no problem, you can draft players or merge with other teams. If your partners cannot attend, no problem, invite a guest or come alone.

 

Members are forwarded e-mailed invitations throughout the season to register for  upcoming events. You only pay for events you choose to enter. You pay as you go, and you play as often or as little as you desire. Two days prior to the scheduled event, your tee time and your match will be published on our website.  We ask that you arrive at least a half hour before your scheduled tee time to check in at our registration desk.  All scoring is managed via our Live Scoring app.

 

To maintain a level and fair playing field, we strictly adhere to USGA Regulations. At the first tee, players are announced, and Golf Mission Leader Board Standings are displayed at the finish. Our website is golfmission.com that posts a wide array of statistics to crank up the intensity! To promote competition and build team camaraderie, you can always ride with a teammate or guest of your choice and will always be engaged in match play against opponents. In addition to your assigned match, you will be playing stroke play against the field. Teams accrue points during the Regular Season, and the top teams seeded by points, qualify for the 2025 Post-Season.

 

The tournament fee includes a reserved tee time, greens fees & cart, Tournament Staffing, Awards and / or Pro Shop credits, $1.50 towards the Closest-to-Pin Contest, often but not always range balls, and at most event’s beer at the finish. At a few events lunches will be included.

U.S.G.A. HANDICAP SERVICE

You DO NOT need a certified USGA Handicap to play in any of our events. This service is optional and you must have internet access and you will post all of your scores. This service is run through the New Jersey Sate Golf Association, and allows you to participate in their events, representing the GMA.
